I'm currently working on illustrating a classic in Spanish literature called 'La vida es sueño' (Life is a dream) by Calderón de la Barca. As a kid I a was very impressed by the beautifully written verses in this story, as well as for its philosophical themes. It reflects on the nature of reality; whether we live in a dream or not. It also thinks about the meaning of freedom, vengeance, doing good...
Below, a character study of mighty Rosaura who travels to Poland dressed as a man to get her revenge as she was betrayed by her lover.
I am now illustrating this story as a personal project but it would be great that someday a version of it will be published as an adapted and illustrated tale for kids.

En este momento estoy creando unas ilustraciones para el clásico 'La vida es sueño' escrito por Calderón de la Barca. Es un historia que cómo niña ya me fascinó por sus versos exquisitos y su temática filosófica. Reflexiona sobre la naturaleza de la vida; si lo que vivimos es un sueño o es realidad. También habla sobre la libertad, la venganza, hacer el bien...
Abajo, estudio de personaje de la valiente Rosaura que viaja a Polonia vestida como hombre para vengarse de su amante que la abandonó.
Ahora como adulta, estoy ilustrando esta historia, y me gustaría que algún día se publique una versión adaptada e ilustrada para niños.
